UFO 2025 - Weather & packing tips for São Miguel!

As we get closer to UFO XIV in the beautiful Azores (October 6–10, 2025), here’s a quick note on what to pack for your trip to São Miguel Island:

Layers + waterproof jacket light layers for warm spells, and a good rainproof/windproof jacket.

Whale-watching it can be breezy at sea, so bring a warm, waterproof outer layer.

Swimming kit bring a swimsuit for the wonderful thermal pools at the Terra Nostra Garden Hotel in Furnas and elsewhere. Tip: the thermal water is iron-rich and can tint light colours, so a dark/older swimsuit is best.

Footwear comfortable shoes suitable for wet paths; flip-flops for pool areas are handy.
